SAFETY

The bit that is in the router is moving very fast, sometimes 30MPH+  – touching it while it is running will hurt a lot.

Always keep fingers far away from the moving bit. Visualize and practice each cut before it is made.

Never stand to left of person using router table.

USE ALL AVAILABLE SAFETY AIDS:

  • Push sticks
  • Push blocks and sticky pads
  • Feather board

Alignment

Height of the drill bit is set with the lift that is built into the table. The lift specializes in micro adjustment. Be considerate the height of a router bit. Best practices are to raise bit into to final position over a few cuts. In other words; don’t raise the bit to the full cut right away.

Fence can be set with angle or straight on. See manual for added information.

Use tools in the router table to set alignments:

  • Two (2) 1 Inch wrenches used for opening and closing chuck, where the router bit goes.
  • Blue handle Allen key for fine fence alignment. (Not regularly used – very fine changes. Use is sparing)
  • Knobs on top of fence. Use to move fence and clamp fence down.
  • Lift crank handle attachment

Technique

Step in front of router. Move work from right to left.

Apply even pressure throughout the cut.

Avoid tear out with continuous material.
