SAFETY
MACHINE RUNS HOT – USUALLY PLUGGED IN AND HOT
Always hold wood firmly against the fence.
Don’t cut pieces of wood less than 5 in. to 6 in. long; they can be difficult to hold securely without putting your fingers in jeopardy.
Never remove stock until blade has stopped moving.
All adjustments must be done with the machine unplugged.
Switch hands to get cleanest cut.
Alignment
Three potential alignments:
- 90° check on the blade to the fence. Likely that it’s at 90° to begin with.
- 45° on the mitered cuts
- Beveled cuts possible
Technique
Stand in front of machine.
If standing on the left side use left hand to steady work and right to chop. If standing on the right, use right to steady work and left to chop.
