SAFETY
This machine is extremely safe if you’re able to operate it correctly with any appropriate safety jigs. It is not safe if you are distracted, have risky practices and habits, poor technique or careless cut design. If you take the time to set up, prepare, and align each cut you’ll be fine and do great work. Below are the safety instructions for your machine.
Be most mindful of kickback! Kickback can have speeds up to 150MPH. ALWAYS OPERATE MACHINE WITH RIVING KNIFE OR SPLITTER INSTALLED.
- Do not touch or reach over moving blade to remove cutoff if blade is moving. Likelihood of injury is very high.
- Never use FENCE and MITER SLED/GAUGE together. Kickback probable with this set up.
- Do not stand between tracks on cast iron table. Stand to the left or right – out of the way of kickback
- Always use a push block, gripper or sled to push work through spinning blade.
